I really like the concept of turning a water fountain into a desert oasis, I think that has a lot of opportunities for different ways you could execute this idea. I'm more interested in the planned color pallet, if it's one of those silver metal water fountains I think that could make for some really interesting color/texture/etc.
As I was seeing you work on Monday I love your idea with the old man leaf. It adds personality and creativity to your piece. I love how you are taking liberty and drawing in details yourself instead of just relying on photos and layering.
It might be a good idea to experiment with a few of your favorites in your sketches or even combine them into one idea, I can't wait to see what you do digitally!

The first sketch has the strongest composition, in my opinion. Do add your own little flare to it! Maybe something can be going on in the sky?

ReplyDeleteI agree with Lys, the old man leaf is funny but poignant and makes a lot of sense conceptually. I'd run with that one and see where it takes you!
